That big section of the quote needs to be referneced properly or removed. Duder999 (talk) 00:21, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Samples.

[edit]

That is a very nice addition, but is the "I'm So Tired" video link official? --JpGrB 03:16, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's definitely not official but I think it's the best we can do to reference this. --User:DJ critikaL 07:20 PM, 28 July 2008 (TUC)
What about this? I believe "DefSounds is reliable. --JpGrB 02:36, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing that looks good. I'll change the link --User:DJ critikaL 10:33 PM, 28 July 2008 (TUC)

YouTube.

[edit]

The YouTube's cannot be sourced unless they are official. Correct? --JpGrB 00:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See my below comment. XxJoshuaxX (talk) 00:19, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the similarity to the song Stan by Eminem is very minimal. The piano chord progression is not the same except briefly at the turnaround for the song (listen to the base lines for the songs). The tempo is similar but this is inconsequential as there are many songs with the same tempo. If this counts as "interpolation" then the list of songs with interpolations from other songs would be endless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cantor1234 (talkcontribs) 00:06, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Co-sign Cantor1234. I came to this talk page to say the same thing. The chord progression on the piano is not the same between "Stan" and "My Life". Of the two sources given for that statement one is a link to Youtube which anyone can interpret any way they want to, and the other is from a blog which I understand is against Wiki policies for citations. I would have removed it already if it didn't have the two so-called "sources" attached to it, but I'll wait for a little while and then remove it if nobody else has an objection because it's pretty clear that statement is factually inaccurate. Extended radio edit

[edit]

I have the C.D. single myself, the extended radio edit is real. The cover even says it. Stop removing it. XxJoshuaxX (talk) 00:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Then source it, if it says it, you don't need the YouTube. --JpGrB 00:20, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it seems that some other singles that don't have "cover art", such as this one, don't have a source for the times. Although, most of them also don't list the multiple time lengths. --JpGrB 00:53, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The cover used for this song is the disk, which shows the times on the front. XxJoshuaxX (talk) 01:12, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Music video.

[edit]

In the video it appears to me that the gang the Bloods (to which The Game and Lil Wayne are both members) are referenced many times through shirts, bandana's, shoes, etc. Should this be mentioned or would it be OR? --HELLØ ŦHERE 07:23, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And I'm 100% willing to bet I missed it somewhere, but I didn't notice Birdman in the video. Can someone clarify where he is located so he can stay in the article? --HELLØ ŦHERE 07:28, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've found multiple references that say he's in it, I just must have missed him. But I am wondering if this would be a reliable source to mention the "gang activity" within the video? (If this question isn't answered within 48 hours, I'll post it, and if it's proven unreliable, I, or someone else, can/will remove it later.) --HELLØ ŦHERE 07:48, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's been over 48 hours, and I added the info. --HELLØ ŦHERE 09:37, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio.

[edit]

There is a slight problem with the text in the "Samples" section. It seems like a direct copy of the text located here. If it is not fixed within 24 hours, I will personally re-write it. --HELLØ ŦHERE 11:31, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it already. --HELLØ ŦHERE 11:39, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
